Attendees included Zhang Xiaohong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Artificial Intelligence; Yang Kehu, Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence; Xia Yun, Senior Organization Member for Party Affairs; Gao Wenchao, Vice Dean; and all faculty members of the Department of Computer Science and Technology. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Gao Wenchao.

At the meeting, Vice Dean Gao Wenchao provided a systematic explanation of the overall process, key milestones, material preparation, and important considerations for the accreditation. He emphasized that all faculty members must attach great importance to the accreditation, integrating the accreditation standards into daily teaching, curriculum development, student guidance, and other aspects. The goal is to “promote development, improvement, and excellence through evaluation,” ensuring steady progress in all tasks and striving for a one-time successful accreditation.

Then, Secretary Zhang Xiaohong underscored the importance of the engineering accreditation, noting that it is not only a comprehensive evaluation of the Department of Computer Science and Technology’s quality but also a crucial opportunity to drive the school’s connotative development and enhance the quality of talent cultivation. She called for unity in thought and heightened awareness across the school, urging everyone to approach the accreditation work with a strong sense of responsibility and mission. She stressed the need for meticulous organization, careful planning, and collaborative efforts to ensure that all tasks are carried out in a detailed, practical, and effective manner, guaranteeing the efficient and orderly progress of the accreditation.

Professor Li Ce, Director of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, provided a detailed deployment of the specific tasks for the accreditation, clarifying the responsible persons, timelines, and quality standards for each task. He required all faculty members to collaborate closely and work efficiently to ensure that the materials are comprehensive, data accurate, and support robust.

In his concluding remarks, Dean Yang Kehu pointed out that engineering education accreditation is not only a significant opportunity for the development of the Department of Computer Science and Technology but also a key measure to optimize the school’s disciplinary structure and improve the quality of talent cultivation. He emphasized that students in the Department of Computer Science and Technology have a solid foundation and great potential for growth. He stated that the school should take the accreditation as an opportunity to further strengthen the foundation of undergraduate education, improve the quality assurance system, and truly realize the accreditation philosophy of “student-centered, outcome-oriented, and continuous improvement.” The entire school, he said, should welcome the expert evaluation with high morale and a rigorous work style, ensuring a one-time successful accreditation.

The meeting concluded with the requirement that all faculty members firmly uphold the principle of “placing undergraduate education at the core,” adhere to the mission of fostering virtue through education, and treat the accreditation work as a central task for the current and upcoming period. It emphasized that high-quality program development will drive the school’s overall educational standards to new heights.
